November 19, 2021 Friends of CREEC, We're sure this is not the first nonprofit newsletter you've received this month, and we know it won't be the last. The next few weeks are filled with important fundraising days, from Giving Tuesday on November 30 to Colorado Gives Day on December 7, and there are a lot of reasons to give. Any donation to CREEC supports our work challenging discrimination and fighting for justice. Gifts right now, however, are special. We've been making changes in the last few months — from a new Executive Director and a new Accessibility Project director, to hiring new Staff Attorneys and shifting towards remote work for a team that reaches from coast to coast. We're sustaining existing challenges to abusive practices by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Salvation Army, and more. We're also mounting new challenges to protect the rights of protestors against racist policing; Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, LateDeafened, and Hard of Hearing immigrants; and others. Mission, strategies, and culture are the topics of our upcoming Strategic Planning Process. We'll be kicking off 2022 in collaborative, imaginative, logistical, and visionary style, with an all-staff process to commemorate what we've done and build a roadmap for what's next. A donation to CREEC today helps support us at a critical moment in our organization's history. We are setting a goal of raising $10,000 for our Vision Fundraiser, with gifts received in November and December counting toward that goal. We hope that you will consider joining us in investing in CREEC's future. You can give online on our website at creeclaw.org/take-action/donate or using any of the donation buttons in this newsletter. Checks can be made out to the Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center, 1245 E. Colfax Avenue, Suite 400, Denver, CO 80218. Thank you for your continued support. We wish you warmth, health, and hope in this upcoming holiday season. In solidarity, CREEC |
